Description
Katyayani Lemar -Tembotrione 34.4% SC Broad-Spectrum Post-Emergence Herbicide with Surfactant for Broad Leaf and Grassy Weed Control in Corn
Lemar is a broad-spectrum post-emergence herbicide that is advised for use in conjunction with a surfactant to suppress grassy and broadleaf weeds in maize: Tambourine, the active ingredient in Lemar.
The use of isoxadifen, a proprietary softener developed by Katyayani Organics, protects corn from herbicide stress and increases crop tolerance, even in extremely difficult corn growing conditions.
MODE OF ACTION:
The active ingredient in Lemar, tembotrione inhibits the four hydroxy-phenylpyruvate-dexygenase (4 HPPD) enzymes. The inhibition of the enzyme prevents the production of carotenoids, which are plant pigments. Depletion of carotenoids deprives chlorophyll, where photosynthesis occurs, of its defence against an excess of light, causing chlorophyll bleaching.
Within a few days of treatment, the complete weed-control effect of Lemar activity is evident, and its symptoms manifest quickly.
