Bullet Point
- Katyayani Thionil is a systemic Insecticide containing Thiamethoxam 0.9 % + Fipronil 0.2% GR. It is a unique granular combination of Neonicotinoid and Pyrazole groups of chemicals with great effectiveness against pests.
- Katyayani Thionil have been noted to show Phytotonic effect which means it enhances and stimulates good development of root and plant growth while dealing with pests. This makes it more innovative. It is recommended at initial pest action. It has quick knockdown and long duration control with its unique chemical composition helps to eliminate the chances of resistance build-up.
- Katyayani Thionil contains Thiamethoxam and Fipronil is a systemic insecticide with contact as well as stomach action. Thiamethoxam controls target pests by interfering with the nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in their nervous systems while Fipronil is toxic to insects by contact or ingestion. Fipronil blocks GABA-gated chloride channels in the central nervous system. Disruption of the GABAA receptors by fipronil prevents the uptake of chloride ions resulting in excess neuronal stimulation and death of the target insect.
- Katyayani Thionil have shown to be effective against pests like white grub and termite in crops like groundnut. It have been noted to be suitable tools for IPM and IRM.
- Katyayani Thionil recommended dosage 4 – 6 kg for 1 acre area and 40 – 60 gm per plant.
